If you already have a domain registered with another provider, you can easily connect it to your hosting by updating the nameservers. This process tells your domain where to look when someone tries to visit your website.
Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Registrar
Go to the website where you purchased your domain name. This could be companies like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or another registrar.
Step 2: Find the Nameserver Settings
Look for options such as DNS Management or Change Nameservers. Most registrars keep this in the domain settings area. If you cannot find it, visit your registrar’s support or help section and search for “change nameservers.”
Step 3: Update to the Correct Nameservers
Replace the existing nameservers with the ones provided by your hosting account. Be sure to enter them exactly as shown, since even small typos can prevent your domain from pointing correctly.
Step 4: Allow Time for Propagation
Once you save your changes, the update will begin to spread across the internet. This process is called DNS propagation. In most cases, your domain will start pointing to the new server within 24 to 48 hours.
